***************** ITINERARY *******************
Day 1) SAT 17 FEB 2024: Flight from your city to Lisbon
PM Flight to Lisbon (Portugal’s Largest and Capital city).
Day 2) SUN 18 FEB 2024: Arrive in Lisbon
AM: Arrive at Lisbon Airport.
Check into your hotel (HF Fénix Lisboa 4-star). Although the hotel’s official check-in time is 3:00 PM, they start to check us in one by one when we arrive. However, they do not guarantee to give out all keys before 3 PM.
In the afternoon, you will have free time, and we can suggest two options:
>>1st option: Enjoy your free time to relax and stay at the hotel and use the hotel's facilities such as the swimming pool... or stroll in Parque Eduardo VII (very close to the hotel)... or enjoy a nice walk at Avenida da Liberdade (very close to the hotel), or enjoy many dining options available around the hotel.
>>2nd option: 4-6.30 PM: Join our guided walk to discover some streets of downtown Lisbon on foot. This walk will take approximately 2.5 hours. Some people can stay longer for dining if they wish.

Day 3) MON 19 FEB 2024: Lisbon - Sintra - Cascais
Breakfast @ 7-8.30 AM
FULL DAY Private City Tour of Sintra. Including admission to Visit Pena Palace, visit Centro Historico de Sintra, lookouts of Azenhas do Mar and Cabo da Roca, and Centro Historico de Cascais.
Departure from the hotel by bus to Sintra. Sintra, former summer residence of kings and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a magical place. Visit of Pena Palace and free time in the city centre. Time for lunch during the tour. Continue to the westernmost tip of the European continent, the "Cabo da Roca", with its steep cliffs in the Atlantic Ocean. Then, drive along the picturesque coast to the elegant seaside resort of Cascais (stop), a former fishing village that has become a small but beautiful cosmopolitan city. We will then head to Estoril, where royal families lived during World War II and where the famous (panoramic) casino is located. Continue up the coast to Lisbon and return to the hotel.
Day 4) TUE 20 FEB 2024: Lisbon
Breakfast @ 7-8.30 AM
FULL DAY Private City tour of Lisbon (combination of walk and bus): From its glorious past as the capital of the Maritime Discoveries remain the sculpted stones of the monuments, the picturesque neighbourhoods with houses decorated with tiles and flowerpots. Visit Lisbon downtown “Baixa” and Alfama an old Moorish quarter with narrow streets and winding stairs. Free time for lunch during the tour (if not included). We continue our exploration with the Belém quarter: the Tower of Belém (masterpiece of Manueline architecture - exterior), the monument to the Maritime Discoveries (exterior), and visit to Jerónimos Monastery.
Day 5) WED 21 FEB 2024: Lisbon >> Évora >> Algarve
Breakfast @ 7-8.00 AM
8:00 AM: Private motorcoach to Evora to visit a castle, a Temple, and the Chapel of Bones (Évora) before being transferred to your hotel in Algarve.
6.00 PM: Check in to your hotel in Albufeira "Hotel PortoBay Falésia". Award-winning 4-star Algarve hotel, with beach-front access, lounges, stunning views, indoor and outdoor pool.

Coastal Hikes in Algarve

If you want to get closer to nature join us on a walking tour through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Algarve – the 7 hanging valleys trail, followed by a fantastic cruise to visit the famous Benagil grottoes.
Elected as the best hiking trail in Europe by European Best Destinations based on votes from over 28.000 travelers from 153 countries, it is described as “breathtaking & unforgettable”. This scenic route is situated in Carvoeiro area and offers a string of notable stops at Benagil and Carvalho beaches, among others. The walk takes place along the top of coastal cliffs defined by deeply sculpted shapes and beautiful ocher and golden Cliffs. Crowning the cliffs near Praia da Marinha, the dense juniper and mastic undergrowth provides shelter to a variety of animals that include rabbits and several species of birds and butterflies. All this greenery bursts into flower in early spring, making for an especially perfumed and colourful ambiance.
The hike is led by an experienced guide. Moderate/medium-high difficulty; some stretches can be more difficult for the elderly. Length: 5,7 kms; Average Completion Time: up to 3 hours.
Our next Experience is the visit to the beautiful grottoes of the Algarve in our comfortable boats! We depart from Ferragudo and cruise at ease towards the east to Carvoeiro, passing by beautiful secluded beaches. Relax and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery along the way…
Cruising towards Algar Seco and Benagil we will take you into different grottoes, where you will find natural rock formations that have been formed due to the sea and wind erosion to amaze us with their beauty. Don’t forget your camera to capture the beautiful coastal scenery along the way. Don’t miss this magical experience!

• Comfortable clothing and hiking shoes, water, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
• This route/activity is moderately arduous. Good physical condition is necessary.
• The boat trips will run throughout the Winter. Please bring a good coat. The average temperature in Algarve is 13*C in February.
** This activity is not recommended for pregnant women/people with heart problems and other sensitive conditions. **
