Emergency Medical Travel Insurance can generally be purchased any time before departure; however, for maximum protection, Trip Cancellation & Interruption coverage should be purchased as soon as you make your first non-refundable trip payment or deposit.

    LEVEL OF FITNESS
Physical activity level on this tour: A reasonable level of fitness is still required to keep up with the group. You must be able to lift your own luggage, climb at least one flight of stairs, be able to walk for 2 hours at a medium pace (sometimes on uneven surfaces), and board the coaches, trains, and boats unassisted. Therefore, we ask that anyone wanting to travel with us carefully consider whether any PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS prevent you from fully enjoying our trips.

    WEATHER in October
October is one of the best times to visit Eastern and Northern China, with pleasant autumn weather, clear skies, and comfortable temperatures. Beijing enjoys cool, dry conditions (10°C–22°C), ideal for sightseeing. Shanghai and Hangzhou are mild and comfortable (16°C–24°C), with lower humidity and beautiful autumn scenery, making October an excellent month for outdoor exploration.

    WALKING IN CHINA
In CHINA, daily sightseeing often involves a moderate amount of walking. Be prepared for a mix of flat city walks and larger sites that require more time on your feet. Attractions such as historical landmarks, gardens, and temples can involve long walking distances, steps, and sometimes uneven surfaces.
In cities like Shanghai and Beijing, walking is generally easy, but sites like the Great Wall, ancient towns, and scenic areas may include stairs, inclines, and extended walking routes. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended!

    Entry requirements to CHINA
As of February 17, 2026, Canadian citizens with ordinary passports can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, family visits, or transit, effective until December 31, 2026. Visitors must have a valid passport, confirmed return travel tickets, and a hotel reservation or invitation letter. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned return date.
If you do not hold a Canadian passport, it is your responsibility to ensure you meet all Entry and Exit requirements, including obtaining any necessary visas.

Travel Documents - Entry Requirements: Meeting the entry and exit requirements of any destination is the passenger's responsibility, including obtaining any required visas/having proper documentation. Please note that entry to another country may be refused even if the required information & travel documents are complete. For information on travel documentation, visas, and travel advice for Canadian travelers, visit the official government website: https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/documents

    Hotel Accommodation Changes
Hotel accommodations listed in the itinerary are subject to change without prior notice due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to unexpected repair/construction work, maintenance issues, operational requirements, increased passenger numbers, hotel overbooking, local events or conferences, weather conditions, or health and safety concerns.
