    This annual world-famous festival centres around Ottawa’s love affair with the tulip, with a million tulips blooming in public areas, including 250,000 blooms in Commissioners Park near Dows Lake.

    Tour's duration: 2 days / 1 night (Bus Tour from Toronto)
    3 Pick-up locations: Mississauga Carpool, York Mills Station, and Scarborough (*see below details)



    DAY 1, SAT 19 MAY: Toronto >> Ottawa

    7.30 AM: Our 1st Pick-up location: Mississauga Carpool. (Please arrive 15 Min before the departure time)
    8.00 AM: Our 2nd Pick-up location: York Mills Station.  
    8.30 AM: Our 3rd pick-up location is: Scarborough Town Centre
    During the 4 hours drive (395 km), we will have 2 stops on the way for breakfast and lunch.

    2.00 PM: Check in to your hotel "Ottawa Marriott Hotel- 4 star" and have a short rest. 

    4.00 - 6.00 PM:  Enjoy the annual Tulip Festival at the Commissioners Park and Lansdowne park.  

    Evening free to enjoy optional activities such as visiting the The Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau

    DAY 2, SUN 20 MAY: Ottawa >> Toronto

    Morning: Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel
    9.30 AM: Check out

    10.00- 1.00 PM: enjoy a 3-hour guided city tour of Ottawa with professional tour guide to see the highlights of Ottawa (including: Parliament Hill, the Supreme Court of Canada (CENTRE BLOCK GUIDED TOUR), the Residence of the Prime Minister, the Residence of the Governor General, the National Gallery of Canada (outside) the Canadian Museum of History (outside). And spend a moment of quiet remembrance in the Memorial Hall. This tour includes 2-3 photo stops. A portion of this tour includes walking (weather permitting). 

    1.00-2.30 PM: We're in the heart of the city, and we have the opportunity to visit the historical ByWard Market, where we can also have a bite to eat before heading back home.

    2.30 PM: Drive towards Toronto
    During the 4 hours drive (395 km), we will have 2 stops on the way for coffee and dinner.

    7.30 PM: drop-off @ Scarborough Town Centre
    8.00 PM: drop-off @ York Mills Station
    8.30 PM: drop-off @ Mississauga Carpool


    · Per person in double/triple occupancy: $329 + 13% HST
    · Per person in single room: $459 + 13% HST

    **All prices are per person, in Canadian dollars. 

    **Children 10+ are welcome on this tour, same price as adults.

    NOTE: If you are a solo traveler and would like to share room with someone the same gender, please choose the "DOUBLE" Room option. We will find a roommate for you.

    ·  The standard rooms in the hotels have maximum 2 double beds. So, the ones who book a Triple room need to know that two of them will need to sleep in 1 double bed, as the hotel does not provide any extra bed/cot.

    OUR HOTEL:   Ottawa Marriott Hotel- 4 star

    Located in downtown Ottawa, this hotel offers an indoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Rooms feature cable TV and guests are offered plush bathrobes. Parliament Hill is less than 5 minutes’ walk away.

    The Byward Market and the Canadian War Museum are both less than 2 km away. Guest rooms are furnished with a work desk and seating area. The modern rooms are equipped with coffee and tea-making facilities, a hair dryer, and ironing facilities. This Ottawa hotel includes a fitness centre and a business centre. A concierge service is provided to assist guests with local attractions and dinner reservations. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Guests can take advantage of the Marriott Hotel Ottawa’s on-site restaurant, Spin Kitchen and Bar. Room service is available.


    PARKING  / PICK- UP Location

    1st pick-up location: Mississauga Carpool Lot, Hurontario & Hwy 401.   

    Entrance into the carpool lot is on the west side of Hurontario, between the ramps to Hwy 401 East and Hwy 401 West. This parking lot is not easily visible from Hurontario and can be easily missed so please carefully follow the P Carpool signs. Detailed instructions from all four directions are given below. This is a Government of Ontario, Ministry of Transportation parking lot. Cars may be left here for up to 5 days, parking is free. This parking lot does not have a street address. The GPS location is 43.6300490, -79.6861980

    When you enter the carpool, please park at your left side section. 

    Driving North

    If you are driving north on Hurontario, go past the intersection with Hwy 401 and keep going north. Turn left on Prologis Blvd. (second stop light north of Hwy 401) and then take the first left on Kateson Drive. Drive to the end at the last stop sign, you will now be in the carpool lot. Our bus stops in the parking area on your left hand side. 

    Driving South

    If you are driving south on Hurontario, go past the intersection with World Drive and past the ramp to Hwy 401 West. Turn right at the next stop light. You will be turning right into the carpool lot. If you reach the ramp to Hwy 401 East or the intersection with Brittania Rd. you have gone too far! 

    Driving West

    If you are driving on Hwy 401 westbound, take the exit for Hurontario. When you reach the lights at the end of the exit ramp, do not turn right or left! Go straight across the intersection with Hurontario. You will now be in the carpool lot. 

    Driving East

    If you are driving on Hwy 401 eastbound, take the exit for Hurontario and turn left. You will now be going north on Hurontario. Turn left on Prologis Blvd. (second stop light north of Hwy 401) and then take the first left on Kateson Drive. Drive to the end at the last stop sign, you will now be in the carpool lot. Our bus stops in the parking area on your left hand side.

    2nd pick-up location:  York Mills Subway Station. The bus will stop on Yonge St., directly outside the Starbucks at 4025 Yonge St. This is the York Mills Centre office building on the North-East corner of Yonge St. & York Mills Rd. The York Mills subway station is in the basement of this building. If it is raining or snowing, you are welcome to wait either in Starbucks or in the lobby of the office tower until you see the bus stop in front of Starbucks. 

    FOR PARKING: For overnight and multi-day trips, cars cannot be left in the TTC parking lot or the Green P parking lot. Parking is allowed in the covered parking of the York Mills Centre. The parking lot has two entrances, one on York Mills Rd and one on Yonge St. Please note that the parking cost is $18 per day (2014 rates). Street address is the same as our bus pickup location, 4025 Yonge St. 

    3rd pick-up location: Scarborough Town Centre (Address: 300 Borough Dr, Scarborough, ON M1P 4P5) . The bus stops directly outside the Cineplex movie theatres at the Scarborough Town Centre. You are NOT allowed to park your car in this location for multi-day trips. If you wish to use this pickup location for a multi-day trip, please consider taking a taxi or public transit or have someone drop you off.
