    Enjoy the beauty of the holiday season with more than 400 light displays twinkling in Harrison Park and along the banks of the Sydenham River in downtown Owen Sound.  
     
    ************ ITINERARY ***************
    11.00 AM: The 1st Pick-up location is Scarborough Town Centre (Please arrive 15 Min before the departure)
    11.30 AM: The 2nd Pick-up location is York Mills Station 
    12.00 noon: The 3rd pick-up location is: Mississauga. See below details for pickup and parking*
     
    1.00 – 1.30 PM: We will have a short coffee/lunch stop on the way. 
     
    3.00 – 3.30 PM: Visiting Inglis Falls! Known as “the best waterfalls in the area” is the most visited, any time of year!    
     
    3.45- 4.45 PM: Visit Tom Thomson Art Gallery, A great place to become acquainted with the art work of a few Canadian artists.
     
    4.45 – 6.00 PM:  Free time for dinner in Downtown Owen Sound for dinner
     
    6.00 – 8.30 PM: Tour of Owen Sound’s ‘Northern Lights’ displays - You will see light displays along the river and streets in downtown Owen Sound, as well as into Harrison Park.
     
    ‘The Festival of Northern Lights’, Owen Sound’s Christmas Light Displays
    Created all the way back in 1987, this impressive holiday lights event has grown from an annual community tradition into a must-see spectacle of next-level illuminated art. Hundreds of local volunteers come together each year, according to the event's website, to set up nearly 400 displays and 25+ kilometres of lights to illuminate the city's harbour, riverbanks, downtown core, and Harrison Park. They've got everything from horse-drawn sleigh rides and skiing Santas to gigantic dragons made of light. This year, the Festival of Northern Lights is celebrating its 35th anniversary. 
     
    8.30 PM: Drive back to Toronto
     
    10.30 PM: drop-off @ Mississauga
    11.00 PM: drop-off @ York Mills Station 
    11.30 PM: drop-off @ Scarborough Town Centre 

    Price & Inclusions

    Per person: $139 + HST = $157.07
    **The prices are per person, in Canadian dollars.
    **The prices are subject to change at any time without notice.
    **Children 8+ are welcome on this tour, the same price as adults.
    **There is no deadline for booking but since most of our tours sell out quickly, we recommend booking asap to avoid disappointment.

    * End Plastic Pollution: we will no longer offer single-use plastic water bottles on our tours since many of them end up in our landfills, lakes, oceans, and rivers. We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle. 
     
    GROUP LUNCHES and DINNERS:
    Post-pandemic, many restaurants no longer accept large groups. For those that take large groups, their service and food quality has declined considerably. As a result, for the time being, we are omitting group lunches and dinners from some tours and will pass the savings to you. You will be given enough time and choices at the destination to find a meal to your liking. We hope that in time we can resume group meals which have traditionally been an integral part of our day trips.
     
    Cancellations & Refunds
    • * 100% Full refund if you cancel at least 15 days before the trip departure date.   
    • * 14-8 days prior to departure - pay a penalty equal to 50% of the total purchase amount.
    • * Within 7 days of departure - fully non-refundable - pay a penalty equal to 100% of the total purchase amount.
    • * In the event that a tour is canceled, the liability of FunTours.ca will be limited to providing a full refund of the original trip price. 

    Pickup

    PICK-UP Locations  

    1st pick-up location: Scarborough Town Centre - The address is (300 Borough Dr, Scarborough, ON M1P 4P5). The bus stops directly outside the Cineplex movie theatres at the Scarborough Town Centre. This pickup location is suitable for day trips. IF YOU NEED TO PARK YOUR CAR: Park anywhere near the movie theatres. Free parking all day. Cars cannot be left overnight after 2 AM.

    2nd pick-up location:  York Mills Station. The bus will stop on Yonge St., right at (4025 Yonge St North York, ON M2P 2E3). This is the York Mills Centre office building on the North-East corner of Yonge St. & York Mills Rd. The York Mills subway station is in the basement of this building. If it is raining or snowing, you are welcome to wait in the lobby of the office tower until you see the bus stop in front of the building. TO PARK YOUR CAR: Only for day trips, you can park your car in a parking lot located at 3885 Yonge St, Toronto. This is about a 5-minute walk from the pick-up location. This is a pay-and-display parking lot. Covered parking is also available for day trips only in the parking garage at the York Mills Centre at 4025 Yonge St. The parking cost is $20 per day (2020 rates).  

    3rd pick-up location: Mississauga - The address of the plaza is (30 Courtneypark Dr E Mississauga, ON L5T 2Y3). The bus will stop outside the plaza, right in front of the McDonalds- on Courtneypark Dr E. You can wait in the McDonalds until the bus arrives. The bus will be visible through the restaurant windows. Cars can be parked for the day in the plaza parking lot. Parking is free.

    Inglis Falls, the most beautiful waterfall in Grey County, Ontario 
    Known as “the best waterfalls in the area” is the most visited, anytime of year!   One of three waterfalls that surround the City of Owen Sound, Inglis Falls is the best known and most visited. Situated in the heart of the 200-hectare Inglis Falls Conservation Area, Inglis Falls is an 18-metre-high cascade, created by the Sydenham River meeting the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. The erosive power of the water has carved a deep gorge at the base of the falls. On a clear day you can see down the valley into the City of Owen Sound and out to the Owen Sound harbour. Activity Level: Easy, 10 min short walk

    A great place to become acquainted with the artwork of a few Canadian artists.
    A regional art centre, museum, and national cultural attraction dedicated to the innovative spirit of landscape artist and Canadian icon, Tom Thomson.
