    LAVENDER FESTIVAL July 2020
    Come celebrate with us and enjoy a weekend of fragrance, taste and entertainment! We want to share the beauty of purple fields, the exquisite aroma of the essence of flowers and the flavour of culinary treats.

    ****************  ITINERARY ****************

    7:30 AM: Our 1st Pick-up location is: 30 Courtney Park Drive East, Mississauga. (Please arrive 15 Min earlier)
    8:00 AM: Our 2nd pick-up location is: York Mills Station
    8:30 AM: Our 3rd pick-up location is: Scarborough Town Centre
    9:30-10:00 AM: We have a short coffee/washroom stop on the way to PEC.

    11:30-1:00 PM: Enjoy the Prince Edward County Lavender Farm Tour

    1:30-3:00 PM: Enjoy a 3-course Lunch at the Waring House in Picton.

    3:30-4:30 PM: Wine tasting at Hillier Creek Estates Winery

    5:30–6:00 PM: We will have a stop at the Big Apple to sample some apple pies and shop for pies, cakes, ciders and jams/ dinner.

    6:00 PM: We return home
    7:30 PM: drop-off @ Scarborough Town Centre
    8:00 PM: drop-off @ York Mills Station
    8:30 PM: drop-off @ Mississauga

    Per person: $129 + 13% HST
    **All prices are per person, in Canadian dollars.
    **Children 8 and older are welcome on this tour, same price as adults.

    NEW in 2020 - End Plastic Pollution
    Effective January 1, 2020, Toronto Fun Tours will no longer offer single-use plastic water bottles, many of which end up in our land fills, lakes, oceans, and rivers. We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle. We will continue to offer our usual array of snacks.

    Pickup

    PARKING / PICK- UP Location

    1st pick-up location: Mississauga. The address of the plaza is: 30 Courtneypark Dr E, Mississauga, ON L5T 2Y3. The bus will stop outside the plaza, right in front of the McDonalds. You can wait in the McDonalds until the bus arrives. The bus will be visible through the restaurant windows. Cars can be parked for the day in the plaza parking lot. Parking is free.

    2nd pick-up location: York Mills Station. The bus will stop on Yonge St., directly outside the Starbucks at 4025 Yonge St. This is the York Mills Centre office building on the North-East corner of Yonge St. & York Mills Rd. The York Mills subway station is in the basement of this building. If it is raining or snowing, you are welcome to wait either in Starbucks or in the lobby of the office tower until you see the bus stop in front of Starbucks. For day trips, cars can be parked in the parking lot directly across the street on the North-West corner of Yonge & York Mills Rd. This is a pay and display parking lot.

    3rd pick-up location: Scarborough Town Centre (Address: 300 Borough Dr, Scarborough, ON M1P 4P5) . The bus stops directly outside the Cineplex movie theatres at the Scarborough Town Centre. This pickup location is suitable for day trips. IF YOU NEED TO PARK YOUR CAR: Park anywhere near the movie theatres. Free parking all day. Cars cannot be left overnight after 2 AM.

    Prince Edward County Lavender Farm


    Prince Edward County Lavender Company is a grower, distiller and crafter of fine lavender products. Nestled in the heart of Prince Edward County, their farm offers many cultivars of lavender, in a myriad of colours, scents and tastes. Some of their cultivars are praised for their exceptional essential oil quality, while others are best kept for culinary creations or crafts. On our tour we will have the opportunity to Watch a demonstration of how Lavender Essential Oil is distilled and get your questions answered about this process. Taste lavender flavoured foods such as lavender nougat / chocolate. After the tour, you will also have the opportunity to shop in their boutique.

    Prince Edward County is an island in Lake Ontario where you go to fall in love with food, nature, art and community all over again.  ‘The County’ is home to artists, entrepreneurs, farmers, wine makers, chefs and all sorts of creative and passionate folks looking to be a part of the rural renaissance taking place here. 

    Waring House


    Located in Prince Edward, The Waring House is in the historical district, a 4-minute drive from Cranston Gallery on Main and 5 minutes from Bloomfield Visitor's Centre.

    Hillier Creek Estates Winery

       
    Hillier Creek Estates, in its current state, is a farm winery comprised of 50 acres; 30 of which are planted with Gamay, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and our newly planted Vidal. Hillier Creek has already earned medals at an International Wine Competition in Finger Lakes, as well as four bronze Artevino awards in 2009, and six Artevino awards in 2010, our 2012 Chardonnay and our 2009 Estate Pinot Noir have both won a Silver Medal’s at the Royal Winter Fair 2013. Most recently we are thrilled to announce that our 2014 Barrel Aged Chardonnay won Champion at The Royal in 2017! The barn, now used as our winery, cellar, and tasting room, outdates us all. Estimated to be over 160 years old, the original barn was built directly on the ground.....

    Big Apple


    where you can buy fresh apple pies and apple bread, cakes, jams, ciders. It's a cool place to eat and shop featuring counter-serve dining, and a country store.

    • Our tours are in ENGLISH language only.
    • Appropriate clothing and footwear is highly recommended (based on the weather).
    • We assign the seats based on first paid first served. In case you and your companion pay separately, to be seated together, please send an email to info@funtours.ca after placing your order.

    ************* IMPORTANT NOTIFICATIONS *************

    Reasonable Level of Fitness: In order to get the most from your travels and keep up with the group, a reasonable level of fitness is required. You will need to be able to walk for 1-2 hours at an Easy to Medium-pace (on an even/uneven surface), get on and off coaches, trains and boats unassisted. Therefore, we ask that anyone wanting to travel with us carefully consider whether any PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS prevent you from fully enjoying our trips.

    Embrace the nature of Group Travel: To get the most out of your tour, pack a positive attitude and an open mind. These are most certainly valuable when travelling in a group. Our tours are packed with adventure, new experiences and feel-good moments. However, despite the very best intentions and planning, things can and do go wrong and occasionally we encounter problems beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, unexpected delays caused by traffic jams. In such situations, we ask for your patience and we will endeavor to keep as close to our scheduled itinerary as possible.

    Traveling with children: Due to the activity level of our group tours, all children require adult supervision. Some of our more active excursions may not be suitable for children under the age of 8.
